Bromsgrove Engagement and Equalities Forum
 

Terms of Reference (September 2019)
 
 
To participate in community engagement and scrutiny on the effects and outcomes for equality of the policies, practices and decisions of Bromsgrove District Council by
 
 

1. Working in partnership with Bromsgrove District Council and members of the community, including the voluntary sector and other stakeholders, to identify and address issues of inequality in the District.

2. To work alongside Bromsgrove District Council in monitoring their Equality Objectives by providing feedback and recommendations.

3. To promote the concept of Bromsgrove as an inclusive community, and to have a commitment to promoting equality and fairness to all.  We are opposed to all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination.

4. To support and be involved in any community engagement activities as far as practicably possible for all members of our community.

5. To provide an opportunity for networking for representatives of District-wide community groups, supporting those who are working to encourage people to participate in and feel engaged in their community.

 
The Forum will be chaired by a Community member who is chosen by members.  A Vice Chair can be appointed to act in the absence of the Forum Chair.
